Igatangan ka koma
Ti brilyante a nangina
Ngem nagastos ko tay kwarta
Pinanggatang ti baro a paltog ken bala.
Pasensya kan Misis, ta uray kadi no kasta
Saan ka kad agmisuot, saan agtapaya
Saan kan agpasugnod ta isurot kanto
Kadwa tan Vic, agtarget practice ton Domingo.
Igatangan ka koma, sabong rosas maysa dosena
Ngem dagitoy saan met maigop, saan masida
Bay-am ta siak to ti agluto ken agserbi kenka, dinengdeng nga
Sabong ti katuday, pallang, kardis ken tinuno a tilapia.
Aglalo no padigusam dayta buok mo iti arotang
Ay ti bang-i nan kasla kalluto a rinuban.
Misis, ammom met ti panagrayok kenka
Napatpateg uray awan baknang wenno naimas a sida
Saan latta koma matyanan dayta pasensyam
Ta aginggat tungpal tanem sika't kayat ko a kadwa.
Mabalinakon nga umuli?, wen kunam ta mayat kan
Nagsakiten ti likod ko, katuturog idiay tablan
Uray ket nakaturpos manen iti alday dagiti puso
No awan apros ken misis, aprosak laengen baro a paltog ko.

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
ALL FOR A DIVINE PURPOSE
As I walked down the narrow and winding trail
I noticed a bunch of yellow flowers so frail
Taking a closer look, my eyes didn’t fail
Their splendid beauty was indeed a thing to hail.
Each of them exuded a majestic radiance
Complementing the overall paradise ambience
Asserting their delicately unique significance
Like candle lights spreading their glow at a glance.
I wondered in awe over the goodness of the Lord
Having created these lovely flowers for us to behold
With God’s blissful and mysterious ways to mould
Even these tiny creatures fulfill His will as they were told.
God had made these little flowers, like man, for a divine purpose
To praise and glorify Him unceasingly without remorse
They please the Lord and remind us in their own chartered course
To live, to love, to learn and leave a legacy lauding the Lord beyond repose.

Here are 3 pictures that I took from Josefina Guico Acebedo's album on facebook of the distribution of rice in Magsingal.

Magsingal was hit by a typhoon and in turn caused a flood which disabled the routines of our fellow magsingalenos. I, along with everyone else who is from Magsingal want to help, but the only thing that is stopping us is the far distance. This is why CMA has come together to provide our fellow magsingalenos aid - 54 cavans of rice will be distributed in the Magsingal museum on October 31st. We hope that this will help start everyone in Magsingal get back to their normal routines, especially those who are less fortunate.

Once again Christmas is so near I could smell and taste it. Most people look forward to this particular holiday that they are looking forward ahead of everyone.
But there are 3 different kind of people that relate to Christmas. The first type are those people who love to give away gifts to people and does not have any problem shopping for gifts. The second type are those who just like to receive and never mind to give. The third type are those who does not like to shop, having a hard time thinking what to buy and therefore very stressful to them.
So what type of person are you? Are you the first one, second one or the third one?
I do not know about you but I know what type of person I am. I am the third type. I am the type of person who hate shopping, do not know what to buy and most important thing, Christmas is very stressful to me. I should not be swayed what some people would say about me especially my wife but to tell you the truth, it is stressing me what to buy her every Christmas. Is this just me? LOL.

Most airlines flying in the States nowadays does not serve meals anymore. They do have it though and will give it to you if you ask for meals with a price. Yes you have to pay nowadays for your meals while flying in an airplane. But this is OK to minimize the price of the ticket. So you would have to bring your own food which usually from fast-food restaurants that are inside the airport. Better yet, eat before you go.
Also, ever since the airlines started charging luggage/baggage, like 20 dollars for the first one and 25 for the second, flyers started baggage/luggage as their hand-carries. You would not believe how big and heavy looking some passengers hand-carries would have. And if you are not one of the first passengers to board, forget about your hand-carry. All passengers to board ahead of you would fill the bin with their big hand-carries.
The airlines should be checking hand-carries at the ticket counters. Anything that is too big should be held as a baggage/luggage. Each hand-carry should have a tag from the ticket counter which means that they have been checked already.
I almost did not make my recent flight connections with my grandson because my flight was delayed in Honolulu because passengers with big hand-carries were trying to find where to put them.
Airlines should adjust. Check all hand-carries at the ticket counters and not near the door of the airplane. If not put an extra 15 minutes for boarding also.

I am very excited because not only is my family going to have a 2-week break in the US (at least me and Larie as Nie is actually working on the first week), I am also going to see some high school friends, some of them I haven't seen since we left the gates of SWI more than 25 years ago.
We're heading for Dayton, Ohio where Nie is attending a 5-day company summit while Larie and I will be exploring the place and enjoying what is left of the US summer heat after 3 months of winter down under. Incidentally, we're flying out and arriving in Dayton 11 Sep. We just realised the significance of the date after we booked our ticket, hmmm! But I believe every day is a good day! And if it's your turn to go, there's not much you can do! That's what I believe.
After Dayton, we're spending another week in San Francisco to visit a good friend of mine from my SMC days. They moved to Sanfo some years ago, leaving behind what I would call a considerably great life in Manila, just for their kids to have better opportunities in America.
When I mentioned to Connie Ponce about our trip to Sanfo, she quickly suggested that we meet up. I didnt realise that Sanfo is only about 2 hours away from San Jose, I thought it was at least 5 hours away. Connie then mobilised our batchmates there and now they are organising a get-together in San Jose. Josie Faraon volunteered her place as the venue for the mini-reunion and now they're planning to have a day-off just for us to have the full day with them. How great is that? I am moved by this gesture of hospitality and generosity with their time. It's going to be a great day, no doubt. I hope to see all my high school batchmates who are based in the area.
Another one of my friends is also bringing us to Napa Valley for a day trip in this beautiful spot. Maybe I will stop talking about our Aussie wine regions after I see Napa, hehe.

Ever since I started working here in the States, I have already dreamed that the place that I would want to retire when I am eligible to retire is Magsingal, my hometown and birthplace in the Philippines.
Why should I want to retire in my hometown? Well, my first reason is because my heart is always with the place that took care of me growing up. I feel safe and comfortable there. Secondly, it seems that all the foods that are there are great tasting foods that no other place can compare. And most importantly for my budget, Magsingal is way too cheaper to live there than any place on earth. And also a lot of relatives still live there.
What about you? Are you willing to go and retire there?
This is also a test thread.
