When I saw the sign, Ted Stevens International Airport (over two weeks ago), named after then Alaska’s senior US Senator, I knew I had landed again at the place that I called home for so many years before. It was my first time to see the new rebuilt airport after we moved out of Anchorage, seven years ago to Hawaii. The inside of the new airport is so much better than the old one. Spaciously built. My oldest son Brad and his son (my grandson Kevin) were already there awaiting near the stairs to the baggage area, both smiling broadly. I was so happy to see them and they were also happy to see me.
